Google Maps API: Mein Geo-Daten Vorrat
Google Maps API wurde gerade vorgestellt - was ist dran? “The Google Maps Data API allows client applications to view, store and update map data in the form of Google Data API feeds using a data model of features (placemarks, lines and shapes) and maps (collections of features).” Übersetzt heißt das: ich erstelle mir mit Hilfe des API eine Sammlung an Daten zu Orten, und greife darauf über das API in anderen Applikationen zu. So habe ich Generierung, Speicherung und Abruf von Geo-Daten an einem Platz.
Google bietet ja schon lange die Dienste Google Maps und Google Earth als Basisanwendungen im Geo-Bereich an. Nun kommen auch zahlreiche Funktionen für Google Android hinzu.
